  • Tumbling Tesserae (My Mosaic Blog)

Check out my blog to see more about workshops that we have had, mosaic highlights, and the mosaic process.

  • Austin Mosaic Guild

The Austin Mosaic Guild has over 100 members from Central and South Texas. This is a great group of people, all with a passion for mosaics, who come together to develop their skills and share ideas. The Guild fosters the love of mosaics through sponsoring workshops, holding exhibitions, and having monthly meetings.

  • Chicago Mosaic School

The Chicago Mosaics School provides the most comprehensive mosaic instruction in the U.S. including a certificate program. The school focuses on having students learn time tested methods of working in this medium (the craft) as well as learning how to express oneself (the art of mosaics). Another aspect of the Chicago Mosaic School is the visiting artists program. Mosaic artists from around the world and with decades of experience are invited to the school to share their knowledge, skills, and creativity with workshop participants.

  • Gallery of Contemporary Mosaics

The Gallery of Contemporary Mosaics (GoCM) provides the public opportunities to view the wide range of contemporary mosaic art. Exhibitions show the works of internationally recognized mosaicists as well as emerging and stablished contemporary mosaic artists. The GoCM is associated with The Chicago Mosaic School.

  • History of Ancient Roman Tiles and Mosaics

Learn all about the history of ancient Roman mosaics. There are many additional links for those who want to dive deeper into specific aspects of ancient mosaics. Enjoy! And special thanks to Alice, a member of the children's history club, who recently recommended that I add this link to this page. It is a wonderful addition. Much gratitude to Alice and to Peter who shared your recommendation with me. Keep learning and creating! David Chidgey
